Our creative partner, Rommel Sedano, was originally contracted by Petro Art Productions to design, fabricate, and install the massive amount of rockwork for the park. He was responsible for establishing the on-site fabrication shop, hiring sculptors and painters, overseeing both the design and fabrication of all rockworks. As part of this effort, he provided all of the engineering and structural drawings of all themed elements, rewrote construction methodologies, sourced materials, made custom concrete mixtures, planned scaffolding procedures, designed and engineered rigging structures, specified tools and equipment, provided designs from framing supports and attachment methods down to the last concealed hinges.
The main features include:
- Mount Arayat – This is a 27m high, 50m wide, stylized version of the actual Mount Arayat done in its incipient stage, sculpted and painted by rappelling from the lip of the artificial mountain. Also added was a profile of a sleeping woman, Lady Sinukuan, corresponding to the silhouette of a sleeping lady on the actual Mount Arayat.
- Main Gateway – The entrance to the dark ride area, Rommel personally sculpted and scenic painted the rockwork resembling a sinister human head.
- Volcano Entrance – The main entrance to the dark ride inside the volcano, his looks like an entrance to an abandoned mine, giant banyan vines, volcanic rocks, old mining timbers, artificial foliage, aged, distressed, molten, lichen infested rock textures.
